What does psychotherapy mean to me?
When I started my private practice, I wanted a symbol that would quickly explain what psychotherapy means to me. The "B" rune means growth and rebirth, symbolically and actually, in family matters, world affairs, one's relationship with one's Self and/or to the Divine. This rune is a symbol of transformation, of ripening into a new form. Not only is this my clinical work, but this is how I live my life.

In regularly scheduled sessions, we will use our curiosity to understand how you came to be the person you are today. Using various methods, we will discover patterns that you have learned and determine which ones are no longer effective in getting you the life you want. Together, we will work to make the changes to create a life worth living.

I received my Master's and Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Georgia after completing clinical internships at the Medical College of Georgia, Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, and Washington State Prison for Women.
