If you’re feeling stuck in your life, you’ve come to the right place. It can be difficult and even scary to ask for help, but there is no time like the present to take charge of your well-being. As a mental health counselor, my goal is to help you make the changes you need in order to have a more successful and satisfying life. In our work together, we will explore what’s holding you back and break down those barriers to assist you in reaching your own goals. Often, those barriers are due to past painful experiences and traumas, and I will work to facilitate your healing from those events.
I view therapy as a collaborative process, meaning that we will work together as a team and I will empower you to use your own voice as a tool in the counseling process as well in your own day-to-day life. My approach to counseling is holistic and integrative, so we will take your entire being and experiences into consideration, including cognitive, physical, spiritual, emotional, and relational aspects. I will guide you as you explore negative thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, and we will find and identify your inner strength so that you can feel more grounded and rooted in the person you want to become. Also, when relevant, I enjoy using pop culture and “geek culture” as counseling tools.
Clients have said that they find me calming, easy to talk to, and authentic. I see individual clients, ages 14 and up, for a variety of problems and concerns.
